A significant increase in cross-border DNA testing has been noted by international DNA testing firm easyDNA as they extend their international operations in an increasing number of countries.

Dublin, IRELAND – 01/09/2008 easyDNA is a leading international DNA screening company that specializes in DNA paternity testing and other forms of relationship testing. While expanding their operations internationally, they have noticed a large increase in the number of tests involving samples having to be provided by individuals from different countries.Sales and Marketing Director Andrew Alexander believes that this is partially due to an increasing confidence in the ability of the company to handle such orders more effectively and quicker than their competitors can.

He comments “As we continue to expand the global reach of our services, we are coming across a similar expansion in the demand for cross-border DNA testing. Customers are feeling increasingly more confident in our ability to carry out such work involving the coordination of samples taken in different countries and tested in a central laboratory. Part of this is due to our 14 international offices, and clients are always more confident when a DNA sample can be sent to a local office than posted to a central location. Not only is easyDNA now able to process orders much faster than other companies can, but our local offices can also offer a significantly higher level of customer service to the people involved.

“Because of the development of our cross-border services, we are able to get the kits to our clients quicker and they are also able to return them to their local office much faster than other companies are able to.In many cases we can offer a next day guaranteed delivery service for the testing kits, and the instructions can also be provided in the customer’s own language if desired.”

Due to this increase in international cross-border business, easyDNA has developed a procedure that ensures all samples appertaining to a specific order are available and recorded before testing begins, and each subject involved is informed when their sample has been received. Every sample is referenced and recorded, and the management of the test is controlled in such a way as to ensure the security and tracking of each.

Although most cross-border tests involve samples from two countries, easyDNA have successfully handled DNA screening cases involving three continents and four different countries, thus proving the robustness of their procedures.
