Glossary term for Motherless DNA Test

DNA Motherless Testing

Paternity testing does not require the mother’s DNA samples and are mostly motherless since they do not require the mother’s samples. However, it may be worth considering whether or not to add the mother’s samples as in some instances, having the mother’s samples may help towards strenghtening results. Paternity DNA tests results will in the bulk of cases be reliable without the mother’s DNA. However, in cases where there are anomalies when comparing the alleged father’s and child genetic profiles the percentage may waver slightly and in such a case, the mother's DNA sample will be useful to laboratory DNA analysts in order to exclude the mother’s share of DNA and just have a more straightforward comparison between the genetic profiles of the father and child.
