Electropherogram

Electropherogram are graphs which show you the fragments of a DNA molecule and is often provided at an added cost alongside standard paternity test results. Basically, the graph will show you the peaks and troughs of the DNA molecule; each molecule will be tagged with a special fluorescent dye and the peaks are labeled as relative fluorescent units. Electrophoresis is the crucial part of the process which enables scientists to record the movement of random particles in a special fluid matrix under the influence of an electric field.
