If You Think Your Partner is Cheating, Try DNA Testing

As more and more difficulties arise in relationships and as monogamy becomes less commonplace, people are turning to the DNA test for answers regarding paternity.   As tough economic times contribute to the pre-existing stress of unstable relationships, the question of infidelity becomes more commonplace.

As DNA testing continues to evolve, the information obtained from the testing gets easier to substantiate.  For example, if a one partner suspects infidelity in the other, a simple DNA test can determine whether or not a particular item has foreign male or female genetic material present. The suspected “cheater” can provide a DNA sample and the DNA tests can then be utilized to make a determination as to whether or not this sample is a biological sample. In addition, the test can also substantiate the sex of the donor.

The item that is tested can vary from case to case. However, most often the items are similar in nature.  Such samples as tissues, condoms, bed linens, and, of course, underwear, seem to be the most common.Nonetheless, almost any item can be utilized for testing if it is suspect of having the biological material on it.The success rate of successfully obtaining quality DNA for testing varies from case to case and is dependent upon the quality of the sample provided for DNA extraction. The more biological material that is present in the sampling, the better.

Also, the less contaminated the sample is, the more simple it is to obtain a DNA profile.Keep in mind though that DNA testing laboratories have made significant improvements in their capabilities in obtaining DNA profiles from varying samples with vast limitations.Consequently, the labs should be able to establish a full or at least a partial profile from a wide variety of samples in less than perfect condition.

In short, if you suspect a partner of being unfaithful, the DNA test can either substantiate those fears or put an end to such fears.By obtaining and delivering relevant samples of items that one believes to be suspicious, an identity of the suspected donor can oftentimes be proven.

The first detail which DNA can determine is information regarding whether or not the DNA present is female or male. This will immediately limit the possibilities of who the donor could be.Next, the sample produced by the alleged cheater must be compared to the sample of the unidentified DNA.At this time, the test can provide confirmation as to whether the DNA is a match or whether this person must be excluded.

Although you will obtain some good information from the DNA testing, it must always be remembered that this testing is not conclusive. At this point, it is best to utilize the process of elimination to make certain assumptions, but keep in mind, there will be a questionable area, specifically when the no identity can be established for the DNA samples provided. And even if you can conclude that foreign genetic material is definitely present, that does not always necessarily point to infidelity.

The best way to approach the DNA testing is with the idea that this will assist in obtaining clues regarding possible infidelity, but might not provide 100% conclusive evidence.Nonetheless, DNA testing can provide some valuable information to be used in confronting a suspected cheater and can certainly help in addressing any and all doubts one might have.
